The Remi Kimono is a languid layering piece cut from crepe-backed satin with a the decorative open front. Offered in a relaxed oversized fit, with side splits that add movement. This story takes inspiration from interlinking flower bouquets found on traditional suzanis and lattice elements in Persian textiles. Mixing delicate trompe l’oeil elements with cut out graphics, the hand guided stitch-embroidery plays elegantly with silhouette and contrast.

Process
Temperley prints are painstakingly hand-painted in-house. Motifs are collaged onto the body then lovingly engineered into compositions that work in harmony with the garment’s panelling, ensuring the printed fabric flows flawlessly across seam joints when the garment is constructed. The process is both meticulous and spontaneous, with an outcome that is truly unique and artisanal.
Materials
Committed to creating unique and original textiles, the Temperley team designs lace and woven fabrics in-house at our atelier, which are then crafted by our trusted partners at expert mills across the globe. We utilise best quality Italian tulle, soft and sheer, perfectly structured with a flawless drape. Another staple material includes luxurious silk, woven to create a lustrous effect, with a smooth and radiant finish, perfect for eveningwear.
